At the upcoming L.A. auto show a new Scion's concept that will be some kind of hatchback or crossover, is waited to be unveiled.
The brand is refocusing on more “pragmatic” customers. As the brand looks to expand the kinds of vehicles it offers, the new concept we’ll see in L.A. is most likely a compact crossover with somewhat extroverted styling, possibly drawn from the Toyota C-HR concept.
As the small, four-door crossover looks to take on would-be rivals like the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3, you can bet it will come with an all-wheel-drive option. It’s also likely that the new Scion will ride on a version of Toyota’s new TNGA platform that underpins the all-new Prius. Murtha has said that Scion will still have to draw from models from the Toyota lineup, as there are no current plans for a unique vehicle.
